State Secretary Kirbiš Rojs meets with representatives of Energy Industry Chamber of Slovenia

Ljubljana, 14 December 2021 – Government Office for Development and European Cohesion Policy (GODC) continues round one of stakeholder consultations on programming for the programming period 2021-2027 to design the relevant cohesion policy measures.

At today’s online meeting, State Secretary mag. Monika Kirbiš Rojs and Tjaša Štamcar met with the representatives of the Governing Board of the Energy Industry Chamber of Slovenia and of the Task Force for Energy Transition and EU Funds which acts under the auspices of the Chamber to discuss draft partnership agreement and accompanying documents and starting points for the design of the operational programme for the period 2021-2027. State Secretary and Ms Štamcar from GODC were joined by Blaž Košorok, State Secretary at the Ministry of Infrastructure and by the staff at the Energy Directorate and Sustainable Mobility and Transport Policy Directorate of the Ministry of Infrastructure to provide answers to energy industry-related questions of the representatives of the Energy Industry Chamber. The latter also made valuable recommendations and provided proposals for future measures in the area concerned. The debate mostly revolved around renewable energy sources, sustainable mobility, alternative fuels and energy transition, focusing also on funding opportunities for green energy projects under future Cohesion Policy.
