Slovenia's cycling network to grow: EU funding for cycle paths in municipalities Beltinci and Črenšovci
Ljubljana, 10 March 2021 – Government Office for Development and European Cohesion Policy has issued a funding decision for the project Southern cycle route in municipalities Beltinci and Črenšovci. The project budget stands at nearly EUR 1.1 million, of which half, i.e. almost EUR 550,000 comes from the European Regional Development Fund.
The goal of the project is to create new safe, cohesive and comfortable links within the existing cycle network in municipalities Beltinci and Črenšovci that connect the towns of both municipalities with each other and link the given area with the region's centre. As part of the project several individual cycle sections will be developed in both municipalities stretching a total of 4.6 kilometres in municipality Beltinci and over a kilometre in municipality Beltinci. The local residents will enjoy safer and more comfortable bicycle trips thanks to this EU-funded cycle project.
