EU funding for the purchase of cars used to provide protection of people with disabilities and community mental health care
Ljubljana, 23 February 2021 – Government Office for Development and European Cohesion Policy has issued a funding decision for the “Call for proposals for co-financing the purchase of mobile units (cars) used to perform the tasks of the coordinator for community mental health care and the tasks of the coordinator for the provision of protection of people with disabilities”. The available funding under the call for proposals amounts to EUR 400,000 of which the European Regional Development Fund contribution stands at EUR 320,000.
Under the call for proposals co-financing shall be awarded to projects which will cover the purchase of cars used to perform the tasks of the coordinator for community mental health care and the tasks of the coordinator for the provision of protection of people with disabilities. This will enable coordinators to better address the treatment of people with mental health problems in their community and to monitor the implementation of personal assistance services in the field. The call for proposals also addresses the changes brought about by the Covid-19 epidemic, which prevents users from accessing the services provided by the coordinators, as well as assistance in psychosocial rehabilitation and social reintegration into the community.
Ministry of Labour, Family, Social Affairs and Equal Opportunities is expected to publish the call for proposals on Friday, 26 February 2021. The call for proposals is open to public social welfare institutions.
