EU funding for the implementation of further vocational education and training programmes in 2018-2022
Ljubljana, 1 June 2018 – Government Office for Development and European Cohesion Policy, the Managing Authority for ERDF, ESF, and Cohesion Fund, issued a grant decision for the call for proposals ‘’Implementation of further vocational education and training programmes in 2018-2022’’, which will be published today. The call for proposals makes EUR 16.8 million available, of which EUR 13.5 million comes from the European Social Fund.
The aim of the call for proposals is to increase the participation of workers in further vocational education and training programmes, and improve their competencies to match the labour market needs, enhance employability and employee mobility, personal development and engagement in modern society. The call for proposals seeks to finance further vocational education and training programmes, i.e. employee training and development programmes, additional qualifications programmes, retraining programmes in upper secondary technical education and post-secondary non-tertiary technical education or programmes allowing participants to complete post-secondary non-tertiary technical education and training, and employee reskilling, upskilling and retraining programmes making workers more in tune with the needs in the labour market and workplace.
The programme targets under-qualified and low-skilled workers who need additional training, reskilling and retraining to meet the labour market and workplace needs. Over 17,640 workers are expected to participate in the programme, at least 85 % of whom is to successfully complete the programmes.
The programme will be delivered in the institutions that are registered as providers of education and training programmes in the Republic of Slovenia and deliver secondary vocational education and training programmes, upper secondary technical education and training programmes or post-secondary non-tertiary technical education and training programmes.
