EU funding for public utility development in industrial zone Beti
Ljubljana, 26 August 2019 – Government Office for Development and European Cohesion Policy, the Managing Authority for ERDF, ESF and Cohesion Fund, has issued a grant decision for the project ‘’Public utility development in industrial zone Beti’’. The overall project budget amounts to EUR 730,000, of which EUR 375,000 will come from the European Regional Development Fund.
The goal of the project, which is featured in the Agreement on the development of region Jugovzhodna Slovenija, is to modernise and upgrade the existing public utility equipment in the degraded area of industrial zone Beti in order to improve the physical infrastructure and business environment allowing SMEs to efficiently operate. The project includes the development of easily accessible internal road infrastructure, laying of sewer pipes and water supply pipes, tearing down of unused and unsafe buildings, erection of reinforced concrete wall and laying of electrical cables underground. A 7,500 m2-area in the industrial zone Beti will be properly equipped to accommodate and serve the incoming SMEs.
