EU funding for new business models that facilitate integration in global value chains

Ljubljana, 28 February 2018 – Government Office for Development and European Cohesion Policy, the Managing Authority for ERDF, ESF and Cohesion Fund, issued a grant decision for the programme ‘’Promoting the development and use of new business models that facilitate integration in global value chains’’. The investment totals EUR 11.13 million, and the contribution from the European Regional Development Fund stands at EUR 8.13 million.

The programme aims to support 60 SMEs with over 20 employees as they mainstream sustainability concepts in their business process. This will help upscale the targeted businesses by introducing most advanced standards and competences that will allow them to fully tap the potentials of international markets and accelerate the integration in global value chains.

The general objective of the programme is to help enhance international competitiveness and improve export performance of the targeted SMEs through a balanced development that is expected to generate positive spillover effects (the environment, society, economic development, business performance, etc.).
