Ljubljana, 3 July 2020 - Government Office for Development and European Cohesion Policy has issued a grant decision for the projects “Entrepreneurial approach to addressing challenges in the Ljubljana urban region - PONI LUR” and “Entrepreneurial approach to addressing challenges the Koroška region”. The project worth almost EUR 1.7 million will receive European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) support in the amount of over EUR 1.2 million. These are the first two of the eight projects within the comprehensive project “Entrepreneurial approach to addressing challenges”, which will be implemented throughout Slovenia. Its purpose is entrepreneurial training of people who want to realize their entrepreneurial idea.
The main goal of the project is to set up new companies, which will be opened by people with an entrepreneurial idea through entrepreneurial training. In order to encourage entrepreneurial activity and the successful development of business ideas, the first phase requires substantive support from mentors, experts and entrepreneurs. The project includes support activities that provide participants with employment and a supportive business environment over a period of four months, during which they can successfully develop and implement their own business ideas. The training programme takes participants from the development of a business idea to the creation of a business model and business plan, and comprehensively acquaints them with all important areas in entrepreneurship. Additionally, the project allows them to use physical infrastructure on a co-working basis.
