Call for proposals under the programme Climate Change Mitigation and Adaptation is out
Ljubljana, 14 May 2021 – Government Office for Development and European Cohesion Policy, the Programme Operator for the programme Climate Change Mitigation and Adaptation has published a Call for proposals for co-financing of projects under the programme Climate Change Mitigation and Adaptation in today's Official Gazette of the Republic of Slovenia, No 74/2021. Applicants with project proposals that contribute to increasing the production of energy from renewable energy sources, improving the management of sustainable mobility, implementing the principles of circular economy and improving the management of ecosystems under increasing pressure due to climate change are invited to apply for funding.
The purpose of the Call for proposals is to select project proposals for funding under the programme Climate Change Mitigation and Adaptation. The selected projects will be supported by the EEA Financial Mechanism 2014-2021 and Norwegian Financial Mechanism 2014–2021 and will receive the matching national co-financing. The projects will pursue the overall objectives of the EEA Financial Mechanism 2014-2021 and Norwegian Financial Mechanism 2014–2021, i.e. to contribute to the reduction of economic and social disparities in the European Economic Area, and to strengthen bilateral relations between Slovenia and the Donor States, i.e. Norway, Iceland and Liechtenstein. ‘’Iceland, Liechtenstein and Norway pursue the objectives of reducing economic and social disparities across Europe and of building good relations with Slovenia and other Beneficiary States by providing financial support under the EEA Financial Mechanism 2014-2021 and Norwegian Financial Mechanism 2014-2021. The funding earmarked for the Call for proposals under the programme Climate Change Mitigation and Adaptation will be used for action in the areas of production of energy from renewable energy sources, sustainable mobility, circular economy and ecosystems. I invite you to submit your project proposals,’’ said Cohesion Minister Zvone Černač on the occasion of the launch of the Call for proposals.
The amount made available under the Call for proposals is EUR 15,564,705.88. The project grant rate represents up to 100% of total eligible expenditures of a project.
The deadline for submission of project proposals is 30 September at 12:00 (noon) CET. Project applications have to be submitted via electronic monitoring system eMS at https://ems.norwaygrants.si/emsegp.
