Bruegel Institute corrects its data: Slovenia allocates EUR 1.59 billion to green transition and digital transformation and not merely EUR 0.94 billion as initially indicated by the Bruegel Institute

Ljubljana, 7 June 2021 – Slovenia’s Recovery and Resilience Plan exceeds the quota for green and digital goals set out in the Regulation establishing a Recovery and Resilience Facility. The chart illustrating wrong data of Slovenia’s Recovery and Resilience Plan has already been corrected by the Bruegel Institute.

Slovenia’s Recovery and Resilience Plan is future-oriented. It addresses mitigating epidemic-related impacts and supports reforms that have been long overdue in Slovenia.

Slovenia thus allocates EUR 1.050 billion for green transition and not just EUR 0.77 billion and EUR 0.54 billion for digital transformation and not merely EUR 0.17 billion as initially wrongly indicated by the Bruegel Institute on its website.

Today, the Bruegel Institute corrected the chart that illustrated wrong data and that was used as a source by certain Slovenia media. The chart using correct data can be accessed here https://www.bruegel.org/publications/datasets/european-union-countries-recovery-and-resilience-plans/.

In addition, Slovenia allocates extensive funding to green transition and digital transformation also under the REACT-EU initiative and the MFF 2021-2027.
