Renovation of Drenikova ulica street in Ljubljana

Renovation of Drenikova ulica street, co-financed under the instrument Integrated Territorial Investments, included the expansion of Ljubljana sidewalks so that there is more space for pedestrians and cyclists in the section between Verovškova ulica street and Celovška cesta road. The driving lanes were slightly narrowed which resulted in acquiring additional space for the purpose of expanding pedestrian and cycling surfaces to 2.5 meters.

Prior to the renovation, the cycle track went around the mentioned area and along the Černetova ulica street. Now the cycle track is directly connected to the existing cycling routes in the surrounding area.

At the same time, the company Energetika Ljubljana renovated the hot water and gas pipeline.  For ensuring even greater safety, especially of pedestrians and cyclists, the crossroad Drenikova-Celovška-Na jami was renovated.
